Automobili Lamborghini Renews UNIPdR

The certification, valid for a further three years, confirms the commitment of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based company to inclusion and equal opportunities

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 28 November 2025 – Automobili Lamborghini has renewed its commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and equity by obtaining confirmation of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification. Promoted by the Italian Government in implementation of Law 162/2021 and issued by DNV, an independent body specialising in assurance and risk management, the certification attests to compliance with the guidelines of the gender equality management system and the measurement of specific KPIs in achieving the objectives.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, states: “We are proud to have obtained this certification once again. It is concrete proof of our commitment to promoting gender equality within the company. We strongly believe in policies that make the workplace increasingly inclusive and equitable. This certification does not represent a final goal but rather an incentive to continue along the path we have undertaken.”

The confirmation of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification, already achieved in 2022, is valid for three years and forms part of a journey that Automobili Lamborghini has been pursuing for some time, within a broader strategy that considers all dimensions of diversity. Specifically, in terms of equal opportunities, in 2019 the company contributed, together with seven other companies from the Bologna area to the creation of the CapoD Network (Community of Companies for Equal Opportunities), established to counter gender stereotypes and promote a culture of gender equality in the Bologna metropolitan area, also encouraging informed orientation towards STEM pathways.

Rising indicators on inclusion and the gender gap

The company has long adopted a pay equality monitoring system which currently shows a 0.04% gap in favour of women. The company constantly monitors the inclusion of women in its workforce and ensures full equity in internal processes related to access to managerial careers.

Parenthood and work–life balance: pillars of corporate culture

Support for parenthood has always been one of the cornerstones of Automobili Lamborghini’s corporate culture. The company promotes a model of balance between private and professional life that guarantees equal rights and protections for mothers and fathers, encouraging shared participation in the care of their children. In this area, Lamborghini has introduced specific support measures, such as the possibility for fathers to request optional parental leave and a protection system dedicated to situations of particular vulnerability, such as single parents or parents of children with disabilities. Between 2022 and today, the proportion of fathers taking parental leave within the company has risen by more than 10%.

The “Dad Coaching” and “Mum Coaching” programmes also continue, providing guidance pathways for new parents that offer training sessions and opportunities for discussion to support a conscious management of the new balance between personal and working life.

Among the elements that positively contributed to the confirmation of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification is the company’s focus on work–life balance. The recent supplementary contract introduced an innovative restructuring of working hours and significantly increased flexibility, pioneering a redefinition of the balance between production requirements and employee wellbeing. Automobili Lamborghini also confirms the option to make use of smart working for up to 12 days per month.

Learning inclusion through words, behaviours and opportunities

Promoting a fair and respectful working environment requires continuous training and cultural awareness. Over time, Automobili Lamborghini has developed a comprehensive programme comprising both mandatory and voluntary modules on topics such as diversity, inclusion, equal opportunities, conscious language, and unconscious bias, to prevent their impact on everyday interactions and contribute to creating an organisational climate based on respect and collaboration.

These initiatives are complemented by specific courses on the prevention of gender-based harassment and workplace bullying, essential tools for strengthening a corporate culture founded on listening and shared responsibility. Over the year, an important awareness campaign on speak-up culture and the commitment to creating a space based on dialogue and active listening was launched, promoting the respectful reception of feedback and the sharing of ideas and reflections without fear.

In 2024 the company also launched an internal communication campaign dedicated to the power of language in creating inclusive environments. Through meetings, editorial content, and moments of dialogue with external guests, the campaign encouraged collective reflection on language as a vehicle for respect and equality. At the heart of the initiative is the “Equabolario”, an inclusive dictionary designed to promote a more equitable and representative vocabulary capable of reflecting the company’s shared values.

Collaborations and community engagement

Automobili Lamborghini’s commitment to gender equality and inclusion extends beyond company boundaries, through a network of collaborations with institutions, universities, and local organisations. The company is one of the founders of the CapoD Network – Community of Companies for Equal Opportunities – created to promote a culture of inclusion in the Bologna metropolitan area; since 2024, the company has led its activities in the role of President. At the same time, Lamborghini is strengthening its partnership with Valore D, offering all employees free training and awareness-raising initiatives on women’s leadership and the promotion of diversity.

In 2024, together with MUNER – Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna – and other companies in the sector, Automobili Lamborghini contributed to creating the Gender and Diversity Empowerment Committee, from which the “MUNER Drives Change” programme was launched. The initiative, aimed at students and teachers, seeks to counter gender stereotypes in the STEM world and inspire a new generation of conscious and inclusive professionals.

A daily and widespread commitment

For Automobili Lamborghini, the promotion of inclusion is not a series of isolated projects but an everyday commitment involving the entire organisation. Putting people at the centre means recognising their value, supporting their wellbeing, and creating spaces where everyone can express themselves authentically and contribute to collective growth.

In this vision, diversity is a resource, inclusion a concrete objective, and work a place where a more equitable, innovative, and shared future can be built together.
