Combating Child Sexual Abuse on the Internet

The internet offers adults and children alike huge opportunities to play, learn, discover and engage with friends. Children are increasingly technology savvy but frequently do not understand the risks associated with the internet.  An EU Directive adopted in 2011 has criminalised a range of child-related sexual offences. MEPs from the EPP Group met in the European Parliament to discuss the latest developments in this area and how to tackle the phenomenon.
