EPP Group reacts to new Climate Law

The EPP Group says it fully supports moves towards climate neutrality by 2050. The target is outlined in the new Climate Law. However, the Group is warning that cutting emissions by up to 55% by 2030 will need further analysis. Concerns have also been raised about plans by the Commission to bypass Parliament when it comes to tightening emission targets while the EPP Group also wants other continents to make similar efforts to tackle global warming.
