29 Jul 2024 – Athlete365 House, the main hub of activity across all Olympic Villages, is playing a special part in helping you maximise your experience of Paris 2024. With various educational activities, a photo booth and limited-edition freebies on offer, no day has been the same in a space that’s keeping everyone entertained and connected.
Positioned just a short walk from the Olympic Village’s main dining hall and open throughout the Games, Athlete365 House has been buzzing over the past week as athletes have arrived at Paris 2024.
Thoughtfully designed to help you quickly settle into life in the Village, Athlete365 House is a place to take part in fun activities, socialise with other athletes, learn more about IOC support programmes, and vote in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election.
“It’s been awesome,” says Marcelle Keet, assistant coach for South Africa’s women’s hockey team. “Everyone inside is super friendly; they make you feel like you’re at home.
A welcoming space for athletes
With so much to engage with, Athlete365 House is playing a big role in helping you make the most of your Games experience.
Kareem Maddox is competing in 3x3 basketball for the USA, and an early visit to Athlete365 House helped him and his teammates get their bearings as they explored the Village for the first time.
“It’s a good first thing to see,” he explains. “We were just popping around, talking to people, and enjoying networking.
“It kind of gets you situated, and then you can go from there.”
A place to learn and connect
From deepening your knowledge of clean sport to learning about new programmes that could elevate your careers outside sport, there is plenty for you to dive into while enjoying downtime from your training or competition.
For many, though, the experience in the Athlete365 House has simply been about the atmosphere.
“I genuinely think the people are my favourite bit,” says Marcelle. “The volunteers are so friendly and accommodating; you get smiles at every turn, in every corner that you find them in. They've really made it feel very homely.”
First-time Olympian Javier Insfran, a rower from Paraguay, also highlighted the friendly vibes.
“I’m loving it, honestly,” he says. “Everything about Paris has been amazing so far, and here at the Athlete365 House, it really is our house, our home.
“You can come here to relax, play and learn – it’s so much fun.”
