Mr. Lin Zhang, Vice President of VDA (association of the German automotive industry) China, paid a special visit to Auto Shanghai 2021. He thinks it very impressive that Auto Shanghai can be successfully held after the epidemic and the industry is fully recovered. Through visiting the booths of many companies, he felt that electrification and intelligence were the themes throughout the show. German car companies all launch blockbuster electric car products, and German suppliers also exhibit abundant electrified parts and products, having high expectations for the Chinese market.
At the same time, he also learned that many enterprises are gradually shifting the focus of research and development and production to China. He also mentioned that he and the team have full confidence in the Chinese auto market and expect a 4-5 percent increase in passenger and commercial vehicle production and sales this year which may benefit more German companies.
