07 March 2024 - The Olympic Museum has officially launched its new website. The launch was the culmination of a two-year project to overhaul olympics.com/museum and introduce access to a slate of new Olympic-themed resources.
The museum, as part of the International Olympic Committee and home to the world’s largest and most complete collection of Olympic heritage, including artefacts, archives, images, books and film, offers a host of new storytelling, educational and visitor experience capabilities on its new platform.
"Thanks to the hard work from a very dedicated team, the new website offers many new capabilities,” said Angelita Teo, Director of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage.
Whether people are looking to visit the museum in Lausanne or experience the vast collections of Olympic heritage, knowledge and programmes, we hope they will find new inspiration in the stories and information now available online.

Visitors interested in exploring the museum in person can now more easily plan a tour, purchase tickets online, book a table at the Olympic Museum Restaurant and access a complete schedule of the cultural events and activities happening at the museum and also worldwide.
For educators, the platform offers a detailed presentation of tour options and workshops for school groups, as well as a comprehensive suite of free classroom resources for download that may be accessed online anytime.
Event planners interested in holding conferences, retreats or other corporate gatherings will find an improved presentation of the room rental options, information about the museum’s facilities and booking availabilities.
Through the new “Explore” section, designed as an interactive online magazine, visitors worldwide will also be able to engage with the museum’s extensive collection of Olympic stories, objects, news, information and multimedia resources, as well as learn about the museum’s international programmes engaging communities across the globe.
