IOC Executive Board approves 13 athletes changes of sporting nationality for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Gam

19 September 2025 - Today, during the second day of its meeting in Milan, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) accepted 13 applications for athletes’ changes of sporting nationality, in accordance with Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.

All 13 are in view of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games:

  • Ms Anja BARUGH – Skiing – from New Zealand to Ireland
  • Mr Lucas Pinheiro BRAATHEN – Skiing – from Norway to Brazil
  • Ms Gaia BRUNELLO – Biathlon – from Italy to Brazil
  • Mr Patrick BURGENER – Snowboard – from Switzerland to Brazil
  • Ms Isabela INDRUCHOVA – Bobsleigh – from Austria to Czechia
  • Mr Jacques JEFFERIES – Biathlon – from France to Great Britain
  • Mr Benjamin LYNCH – Skiing – from Canada to Ireland
  • Mr Txema MAZET-BROWN – Snowboard – from New Zealand to Great Britain
  • Mr Luca MERIMEE-MANTOVANI – Snowboard – from France to Brazil
  • Mr Christian OLIVEIRA SOEVIK – Skiing – from Norway to Brazil
  • Ms Anna PRYCE – Skiing – from Canada to Great Britain
  • Mr Liam RICHARDS – Skiing – from New Zealand to Great Britain
  • Ms Emely TORAZZA – Skiing – from Switzerland to Germany
