- March 2026 global sales of 285,854 units, up 2.7% Y/y
- Kia recorded its highest-ever Q1 sales, with 779,169 units sold from January to March
- The Kia Sportage, Seltos and Sorento SUVs led the company’s sales
Kia Corporation today announced total global sales of 285,854 units in March 2026, a 2.7% increase year over year.
The strong global sales performance was driven by robust sales of the Kia Sportage and Seltos SUVs, with the Sportage recording sales of 48,885 units and the Seltos selling 31,761 units. The Sorento SUV supported the performance with sales of 21,285 units.
Sales outside of Korea
Kia recorded sales of 228,978 units, up 0.4 percent compared with the same period in 2025 outside of Korea.
In markets outside of Korea, the Sportage SUV led the brand’s momentum, recording 43,345 units. The Sportage was followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 26,778 units, and the K4, which recorded sales of 19,489 units.
In Europe, Kia set a new monthly sales record by selling 58,750 vehicles.
Korea sales
In March, Kia sold 56,404 units in the Korean market, a 12.8 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
The Sorento SUV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, recording 10,870 units. This was followed by the Sportage SUV with 5,540 units and the Carnival MPV with 5,407 units.
In Korea, Kia sold 16,187 electric vehicles in March, led by the EV3 with 4,468 units, followed by the EV5 with 3,513 units and the PV5 with 3,093 units.
Kia’s global sales were backed by strong demand for its electric vehicles, with the company aiming to sustain momentum through electric and hybrid SUV models.
