Kia Corporation today announced total global sales of 263,904 units in October 2025, a 0.5 percent decrease year over year.
Strong and consistent growth in hybrid and EV models fueled robust sales performance, while strong demand for Kia’s core RV lineup, including the Sportage and Seltos SUV, continued.
Kia RVs led the company’s sales in October, with the Sportage SUV selling 47,341 units globally. The Seltos SUV backed up this strong market performance with sales of 25,406 units, followed by the Sorento SUV, which sold 21,824 units.
Sales outside of Korea
Sales outside of Korea, excluding special purpose vehicles, were up 2.1 percent compared with the same period in 2024, to 223,014 units.
In markets outside of Korea, the Sportage SUV led the brand’s momentum, recording 43,286 sales, followed by the Seltos SUV with 22,041 units, and the Sonet SUV with 21,162 units.
Korea sales
In October, Kia sold 40,001 units in the Korean market, a 13.1 percent decrease compared with the same period last year. The reduced number of business days in October 2025 due to Korea’s ‘Chuseok’ national holiday created a base effect that impacted sales when compared with the same month last year.
The Sorento SUV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, with 6,788 units sold in October. The Carnival MPV followed, with sales of 4,515, while the Sportage SUV sold 4,055 units.
Kia aims to maintain its strong sales momentum through its EV lineup, with the EV4, EV5, and the global rollout of its PBV ‘Platform Beyond Vehicle’ business – including its entry into the Japanese market with the debut of the Kia PV5 Passenger, Kia PV5 Cargo, and Kia PV5 WAV models at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Kia is also expanding its PBV sales into other key strategic regions, including Europe.
The company is strengthening its global leadership in electrification by leveraging customer-centric strategies and making strategic investments.
