Release Date: 20 May 2015
Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Silverstone
Sant'Agata Bolognese, 19 May 2015. One month after the series' first round of the season in Monza, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe heads towards the 5,9 km long historic Silverstone circuit on 23-24 May. At the UK race weekend, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe will field a 32 car line-up.

The undisputed ruler so far is the Finn Patrick Kujala. The 18 year-old Bonaldi Motorsport driver took a double win in his debut round in Monza.

An overall win is the goal of the Sergio Campana-Fabrizio Crestani pair, which impressed in Monza with the debuting Team Lazarus, scoring P2 and P4 and now ten points behind the leader. Their ambition is the same driving the Antonelli Motorsport duo made up by the Italian Daniel Zampieri and the Russian Roman Mavlanov, who took a P4 and a P2 in Monza. The German Florian Spengler (Bonaldi Motorsport) chases three points behind: his best result in Monza was a third place in Race One.

Determined to improve on their Monza result is the Swiss-Italian duo made up of Edoardo Liberati and Patric Niederhauser. The first of two crews with the Raton Racing team achieved a P6 and P5 in Monza, with a better result achieved by the second car from this Italian team: 2014 PRO-AM Champion Alberto Di Folco took P4.

Racing fans should also look out for Giacomo Barri and Alberto Cerqui in Silverstone. The Imperiale Racing duo is determined to do better than in Monza, where they achieved a P5 and a P7.

In the PRO-AM Class the spotlight is on Bonaldi Motorsport and the 2003 FIA GT Champion Matteo Bobbi, who will once more race along with the Brit Jay Palmer. Both in their first season of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe, they stormed the pack in Monza and seized the Class lead. Eight points behind them is the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing pair Kei Cozzolino-Shinya Michimi, also making their debut in this season's Super Trofeo and already achieving a P3 in Monza Race Two.

Leading the AM Class are the Swiss Mark Ineichen (Konrad Motorsport) and the Georgian Shota Abkhazava (Artline Team Georgia), who shared top podium places in Monza.

The tight schedule will once more be part of the prestigious Blancpain Endurance Series weekend, where two Lamborghini Huracán GT3s will be fielded by Grasser Racing Team. The two free practice sessions of one hour each will be held on Friday. Qualifying is set for Saturday at 11.10 CET (two 15-minute sessions with a five minute pause between). Race One, over the usual distance of 50 minutes, starts at 16.30 CET. The green light for Race Two is Sunday at 12.35 (CET).

Both races will be live streamed on http://squadracorse.lamborghini.com/en/live, and shown LIVE in Italy on Nuvolari (ch. 224 Cable) and in Europe on Motors Tv.
