Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe - Misano
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 27 June 2019 - Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe heads to Misano for the second round of the season. The Italian circuit hosts the one-make series for the third time in 11th editions and the second year in a row.

After taking a clear win at Silverstone in the inaugural race, Jack Bartholomew and 19-year-old newcomer Stuart Middleton lead the Pro category. The Bonaldi Motorsport pair have a two point advantage over Imperiale Racing duo Kikko Galbiati and veteran Vito Postigione. Now on home Galbiati and Postiglione aim for their first win of the season, after claiming a fifth and a second overall place at Silverstone. Team-mates Karol Basz and Bartosz Paziewski have a three-point gap from the lead after dominating the Race 2 in the UK.

With a double Pro-Am victory and an overall podium finish under their belt, Target Racing pair Davide Venditti and Alberto Di Folco lead the category. Shota Abkhazava and Harald Schlegelmilch look for their first victory as well after they twice took second in the opening round for Artline Team Georgia.

AGS Events’ Nicolas Gomar will defend his Am category lead from Raffaele Giannoni. The Frenchman started his 2019 campaign with two victories as the Italian rival took two second places.

In the Lamborghini Cup, brothers Benoît and François Semoulin - both in their first year in the series open to the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo cars under the banner of the Semspeed team - topped the two Silverstone races ahead of three-time champion Gerhard Van der Horst. Reigning world champion Joseph Collado looks for revenge after he collected a double zero in UK.
The weekend program will get underway on Friday 28 June with the two rounds of practice sessions. On Saturday, the qualifying trials will take place starting at 10.50, followed by Race 1 which starts at 22.10. On Sunday, Race 2 starts at 15.40 local time. Both races will be live-streamed on Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s Facebook page, YouTube channel and Motorsport.tv.
