Lamborghini Temerario VS Ducati Panigale V4 - Drag Race

The super sports V8 biturbo HPEV from Sant’Agata Bolognese and the V4 superbike from Borgo Panigale star in an adrenaline-fuelled drag race

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 16th May 2025 – Two Italian supremos face each other: two super sports models synonymous with extreme performance and cutting-edge technology challenge each other in an exciting drag race on the straight of Imola circuit. The Lamborghini Temerario1 and Ducati Panigale V42 star in a video that sees the High-Performance Electrified Vehicle from Sant’Agata Bolognese compete with the seventh generation of superbikes from Ducati’s Borgo Panigale home.

The Temerario presents itself as the new benchmark in the super sports car segment with class-beating performance. The new hybrid powertrain combines an entirely new twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, providing a total power output of 920 CV. The twin-turbo V8 has been designed and developed from scratch in Sant’Agata Bolognese and is the first and only production super sports car engine able to reach 10,000 rpm. The performance is an absolute revelation: maximum speed of over 340 km/h (210+ mph) and 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds.

The new Panigale V4 is the seventh generation of Ducati Superbikes, the protagonist of a major evolutionary leap thanks to an integrated approach between aerodynamics and design, a completely revised chassis, and innovative electronic solutions such as the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and the Race eCBS. The latter, combined with the 216 horsepower of the MotoGP-derived V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine with counter-rotating crankshaft, allows the Panigale V4 to let enthusiasts experience professional riding techniques and sensations, offering riders of all abilities the confidence needed to push beyond their limits.

Facing off in an adrenaline-fuelled race from a standing start on the Imola asphalt, the Temerario demonstrated the effectiveness of its launch control mode, which allows the driver to exploit the car’s maximum potential from stationary, by pressing the ‘chequered flag’ button located in the centre of the upper left rotor of the new sports steering wheel.
