Release Date: 19 February 2019
Following the murders of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia and Slovak journalist Ján Kuciak in 2018, the European Parliament set up a Rule of Law Monitoring Group to look into rule of law and corruption problems within the EU and especially in Malta and Slovakia.
The EPP Group is calling for action to protect journalists and uphold the rule of law.
