London, UK, Wednesday 14th May: Genesis has underlined the technological innovations of the new Electrified GV70, marking a bold evolution of the popular all-electric luxury SUV.
The new Electrified GV70 signifies Genesis’ commitment to elegant design and cutting edge technologies, with each model offering comprehensive standard equipment for all customers.
Elevated, integrated interior technology
The enhanced interior of Electrified GV70 is centred around a new, integrated 27’’ connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC), which combines the driver information and infotainment screens to create a seamless panoramic display.
Thanks to Genesis’ expanded range of connected infotainment services, passengers can now enjoy a wider selection of news and entertainment features via the ccIC. Netflix, YouTube, Bloomberg TV+, Bloomberg Originals, Disney Plus and a live news feed offer a wide array of premium integrated content, easily accessible in Electrified GV70 by a simple voice command.
Natural language voice recognition, augmented reality and a camera-based navigation system elevates Electrified GV70’s integrated infotainment features, with all systems capable of receiving Over-The-Air (OTA) updates throughout the car’s lifecycle.
Luxury specification introduces 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround sound system and Active Road Noise Cancelling as standard, creating a high quality, fully-immersive audio experience while on the move. Featuring the next-generation immersive sound technology, Dolby Atmos, the advanced audio system provides a three-dimensional sound experience and a rich and delicate sound field effect through a 10-step surround system and beosonic function.
The optional Serenity Pack introduces an air aroma diffuser and an automatically-sanitising centre console storage compartment, complete with a UV-C light which helps to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria within ten minutes.
Enhanced platform brings pure driving pleasure
Electrified GV70 is equipped with selectable Virtual Gear Shift technology, which simulates the behaviour of a conventional gearbox and offers a deeper level of control and engagement. A heat pump, which efficiently manages battery and cabin temperature, Smart Regenerative Braking 2.0 system with iPedal, and a heated electric-folding charging cover are also included.
Electrified GV70 is underpinned by an enhanced 84 kWh lithium-ion battery and 800V architecture, bringing increased WLTP range of 298 miles on a single charge. The intelligent Battery Conditioning 2.0 heating system regulates cell temperature, allowing a 10-80% recharging time of just 19 minutes, and can automatically regulate the battery condition while navigating to a High Power Charger. New for MY25, Battery Conditioning 2.0 now includes cooling as well as preheating, and can be operated manually.
The dual motor powertrain features 180kW electric motors at the front and rear, delivering 490PS and secure all-wheel drive roadholding in all conditions.
Electrified GV70’s selectable terrain modes - Snow, Mud and Sand - are now complemented by the AI-powered ‘Auto-Terrain’ feature, which analyses road conditions in real-time and automatically adjusts the car to optimum settings.
Elegant form, intelligent function
At the front, Genesis’ trademark Two-Line headlight design incorporates Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, providing precise, powerful lighting performance from elegant, compact units.
Advanced safety systems including Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Lane Following Assist 2 and Forward Collision Assist offer an enhanced level of precision and safety for all occupants. This package of driver assistance technologies also now features Hand On Detection (HOD), which increases safety through accurate detection of the human touch on the steering wheel.
A new optional Digital Centre Mirror (DCM) can display live footage from the camera mounted on the rear spoiler. Able to enhance Electrified GV70’s traditional analogue rear-view mirror at the touch of a button, the switchable DCM provides a clear rear view, especially useful in poor weather conditions or when the rear view is obscured by cargo.
