Release Date: 26 Sep 2023
New Holland new combine
  • New Combine is the next generation flagship harvesting machine for New Holland
  • T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) represents the next level in development of Methane Power tractor offering
  • T4 Electric Power is the industry’s first all-electric utility tractor with autonomous features

New Holland Agriculture won three Innovation Medals at Agritechnica 2023.

The brand received the only Gold Medal assigned by the commission and two Silver Medals.

The Gold Medal went to the overall concept of the new Twin Rotor combine harvester, that will be presented for the world premiere at Agritechnica in November 2023.

The two Silver Medals went to New Holland’s new entries in the alternative propulsion tractors portfolio: the T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) and the T4 Electric Power. Both tractors were presented for the first time during CNH’s Tech Day in December 2022 in Arizona, US.

Carlo Lambro, Brand President of New Holland Agriculture said: “These Medals are incredible achievements for New Holland and we are extremely proud of the job done by all the teams. They reward our harvesting machinery segment, an area where New Holland has a strong reputation and has excelled for years with great results. This Gold Medal comes as a confirmation of our efforts and it nurtures the excitement for the upcoming launch of the new combine. The Silver Medals are not less important, as they both go to products that represent our commitment in sustainability and in alternative propulsion research and investment. A well-deserved award for both the T7 LNG and the T4 Electric. My congratulations go to the teams who worked hard for this result.”

A revolutionary new Combine

At Agritechnica New Holland will present a brand new combine that builds on the success of the current flagship CR line, topped by the Harvesting World Record holder, the CR10.90.

To be produced at New Holland’s Center of Harvesting Excellence in Zedelgem, Belgium, the new combine has been redeveloped to deliver the higher throughputs, reduce grain loss and add more automation demanded by tomorrow’s farms.

While we approach the 50th anniversary of the ground-breaking New Holland Twin Rotor™ technology in 2025, this new combine harvester will also highlight the advantage of this important feature that revolutionized the way farmers harvested and that is now part of New Holland’s DNA. It’s still thanks to the Twin Rotor technology that the new CR can offer the lowest grain crack on the market.

The New combine will have a brand-new styling and it will be unveiled to the public on the first day of Agritechnica, on November 12 at 10am on the New Holland’s booth (Hall 3, Stand A48).

T7 Methane Power LNG: the future of methane and the key to sustainable circular economy

The first of the two Silver Medals has been assigned by the T7 Methane Power Liquified Natural Gas tractor, now a production intent prototype. Unveiled in December 2022 during CNH Industrial Tech Day, the tractor will be one of the highlights for New Holland during Agritechnica 2023 in November in Hanover. It was created by CNH Industrial’s in-house design team, with a new ‘Clean Blue’ color and exterior features that match the brand’s alternative fuels future signature design style.

With its 270hp the new T7 Methane Power LNG meets the need for powerful high horsepower machines that produce lower emissions and operating costs. Autonomy capability is more than doubled thanks to the use of liquified methane and space is optimized with the stainless-steel cryogenic tank.

Just like all the most recent models in New Holland high horsepower portfolio, it features Precision Land Management solutions to boost productivity and sustainability, together with the latest innovations in term of ergonomic and design.

The T7 Methane Power LNG matches the integrated circular economy approach proposed by New Holland together with UK-based startup Bennamann, to reduce the carbon footprint in agriculture and create energy independent farm systems. The solution revolves around the collection, processing and storage of fugitive methane to produce purified liquid gas that fuels tractors, generates additional revenues and creates a positive, clean cycle for farms of all sizes.

T4 Electric Power: the utility that combines powerful, emission-free clean energy with cutting-edge autonomous technology

The New Holland T4 Electric Power tractor is the winner of the second Silver Medal for Innovation. The emission free and silent energy tractor introduces a new tractor class in the market, the Utility Electric and establishes a remarkable step towards zero emission farming.

The disruptive utility tractor represents New Holland’s first step in its strategic plan for electrification and the newest addition to the brand’s innovative lineup of alternative energy sources powered portfolio, such as the T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) and the T6.180 Methane Power,

Better performance than diesel with high torque and faster responses have been achieved from the lowest speeds, the T4 Electric Power offers 55kW as rated power and promotes a new level of driving experience. Smooth and gradual delivery of power at low speeds and constant delivery at high speeds enhances the operator’s control and precision in applications with implements and loader.

It’s the ideal solution for lower horsepower operations, suited to mixed farm, hay & forage, livestock, dairy, municipality, airports, orchards, and specialty applications. Livestock improved comfort wellbeing for cattle as well as municipalities nighttime operations are also guaranteed by its great noise reduction.

Autonomous features and creative operator assistance modes, such as the Follow Me Mode, Invisible Bucket, 360° Awareness, PTO Guardrail and Route Mode are also part of the T4EP’s innovative character aiming to improve daily farming operations, precision solutions, telematics and safety, as well as diagnostics & service.

With a design focused on addressing current farming challenges, such as increased total cost ownership (TCO), labor shortage and growing lack of skilled labor on farms, these outstanding features make the T4EP even more unique in the market.
