- Supplying N’PRIZ S tires with class-leading mileage and N’FERA AU7 premium comfort tires
- Expanding OE portfolio for EVs, hybrids, and internal combustion vehicles
SEOUL, South Korea, March 9, 2026 – NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, has announced that it is supplying original equipment (OE) tires for the all-new Kia Seltos in the Korean market.
The all-new Seltos in Korea features a larger body than the previous model and now comes with either a gasoline or a hybrid powertrain. With the wider range of trims, the 16- and 18-inch wheel options have also been expanded to include a new 19-inch specification, and NEXEN TIRE is supplying tires optimized for each wheel size that take into account the driving characteristics of SUVs as well as the specific needs of hybrid vehicles.
The 16- and 18-inch wheels are fitted with high-efficiency, all-season N’PRIZ S tires, which are suitable for electric vehicles, hybrids, and internal combustion vehicles alike. With their optimized block design, they deliver excellent mileage and a quiet, comfortable ride. The snow performance has also been improved from previous models to ensure reliable driving safety in Korea’s four-season climate.
The 19-inch wheels reflect the growing demand for larger wheels, and use premium N’FERA AU7 tires. Designed for high-inch wheels, these tires have stable performance at high speeds and create a smooth ride. The reinforced structure and optimized tread pattern ensure stable handling, while NEXEN TIRE’s Noise Reduction System (NRS) helps reduce interior noise by absorbing resonance inside the tire. Internal testing has shown a reduction in driving noise of approximately 10% compared to non-NRS products.
By supplying OE tires for the Korean-market Seltos, NEXEN TIRE has further strengthened its position in the high-inch wheel segment, particularly for SUVs. The company is an OE supplier for a continuously growing range of SUVs and pickup trucks, now including the KGM Musso, Hyundai Palisade, ELEXIO electric SUV, Kia EV5, Tasman pickup truck, and Škoda Karoq SUV.
“As demand for SUVs continues to grow globally, we are supplying OE tires for more and more vehicles equipped with high-inch wheels,” said John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, CEO of NEXEN TIRE. “We will continue to strengthen partnerships with global automakers and expand our supply of SUV and high-inch tires based on our proven technology and product competitiveness.”
