SEOUL, South Korea, May 18, 2026 – NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, has announced that its ROADIAN CTX is being supplied as original equipment (OE) tires for Hyundai Motor Company's new STARIA Electric and STARIA Limousine.
The new STARIA Electric is a multi-purpose vehicle designed for maximum practicality and passenger comfort. Its electric powertrain delivers high instant torque, while the heavier vehicle weight places greater demands on tires for durability and ride quality. The new STARIA Limousine, a top-tier trim with a premium cabin, likewise requires a high standard of comfort and stability.
The ROADIAN CTX is built to meet exactly these demands, with NEXEN TIRE’s AI-based performance prediction system used to optimize ride quality across a wide range of driving conditions. The tire delivers consistent performance in all seasons. It combines ride comfort with enhanced durability, while handling and structural strength hold up reliably under high-load and high-torque conditions.
The ROADIAN CTX will be supplied to both domestic models and export vehicles heading to markets in Europe, Oceania, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
NEXEN TIRE pursues a "one-tire" strategy, developing tires that deliver optimized performance across all powertrains, whether electric, hybrid, or internal combustion. On this basis, the company has supplied OE tires to key Hyundai models including the Palisade, NEXO, and IONIQ 6, as well as a broad range of vehicles from premium global brands. In the purpose-built vehicle segment, NEXEN TIRE has now expanded its supply from the Kia PV5 to include the Hyundai STARIA.
