PEUGEOT ANNOUNCES JUDGES FOR ARTIST OF THE FUTURE PRIZE 2025 IN COLLABORATION WITH SAATCHI GALLERY

PEUGEOT announces the judges for the Artist of the Future prize, the first of its kind digital art award, in collaboration with Saatchi Gallery.

Thursday, 7 August 2025 - The Artist of the Future prize, the latest visual arts initiative driven by both PEUGEOT and Saatchi Gallery, was born of their shared values and motivations: spotlighting emerging talent from all backgrounds and celebrating innovation. The award comes in the form of a prize worth up to £10,000, with £5,000 in cash and a £5,000 media package designed to propel the winning artist’s profile and visibility.

The competition is free to enter and invites artists to submit digital art on the theme of Innovation, including but not limited to digital paintings, 3D modelling, motion graphics, animation and interactive media.

The judges have been selected for their valuable insight and expertise in the art, culture, and marketing worlds.

Paul Foster and Katherine Benson, Saatchi Gallery

Paul Foster is  Saatchi Gallery Director, overseeing the programming strategy for the Gallery and leading the organisation. Prior to joining Saatchi Gallery in 2012, Foster held a series of senior positions at a leading fine art publisher for a decade; he also acted as an independent consultant for contemporary art institutions. Katherine Benson is Exhibition Programming Manager, helping shape an engaging programme of exhibitions, and supporting emerging talent entering into their careers. Through initiatives such as Artist of the Future, Foster and Benson continue to drive the Saatchi Gallery forward. By recognising and celebrating artistic talent from all backgrounds, they are innovators in the art space.

Matthias Hossann, PEUGEOT

Matthias Hossann is the Design Director at PEUGEOT, and most recently responsible for the E-3008 and E-5008 SUVs, not to mention the new E-208 GTi. Hossann graduated from the Strate Design School and has been at PEUGEOT since 2013, initially overseeing the brand’s concept cars and the preliminary design of models such as the 208 and 2008, before taking on his current role in 2020. Highly respected in his field, Hossann is considered to be one of the most talented designers of his generation. Through him, PEUGEOT has established itself as an innovator in the tech, design, and visual art spaces.

Dominic Harris, Artist

Dominic Harris is a British Artist who uses technology to explore humanity’s connection with nature. By constructing highly personal interpretations of the natural phenomena which surround us, Harris portrays a surrealist and whimsical world while endeavouring to challenge our perceptions of it. A reverence for nature and a fascination with code characterise Harris’ work, resulting in art that is both artistic and playful, and which offers up commentary on the digitisation of society. Harris is an artist who pushes the boundaries and whose work greatly reflects artistic innovation.

Darren Styles OBE, Attitude magazine

Darren Styles OBE is Managing Director and founder of Stream Publishing. As such, he is also the publisher and owner of Attitude Magazine, the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ media brand, as well as Rolling Stone UK, the world’s greatest music and popular culture magazine. A pioneer in the publishing space, Styles is the first gay owner of Attitude and has been recognised as one of the world’s leading LGBTQ+ executives. A fierce advocate for workplace diversity and inclusion, as well as an LGBTQ+ role model and ally, Styles embodies cultural innovation.

The Artist of the Future Prize is the latest initiative between PEUGEOT and Saatchi Gallery. As Principal Patron of Saatchi Gallery, PEUGEOT is at the forefront of promoting creativity and cultural engagement. With a reputation for bold design, innovative tech and a commitment to reinventing driving pleasure, the award aligns perfectly with the brand’s values.

It comes after the unveiling of  PEUGEOT’s ‘Powered by Nature’ exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, showcasing the imagery captured by PEUGEOT’s photoshoot, powered entirely by plants, soil, and water. The first of its kind, the photoshoot and subsequent exhibition reflect PEUGEOT’s dedication to promoting sustainable practices, innovative technology and the arts.
