Road to the Olympic Esports Games set to begin with Publisher and Developer Forum in Lausanne Switzerland

01 June 2025 – The International Olympic Committee will host the Olympic Esports Games Publisher and Developer Forum in the Olympic Capital on 2 June, marking an exciting next step on the road to the first Olympic Esports Games in 2027.

The Forum, which is an internal event taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland, is a unique opportunity for the key stakeholders from across the Olympic Movement and games publishers and developers to come together to share knowledge and experience, and foster deeper collaboration between the communities.

The programme will include presentations from the Olympic Movement and panel discussions focused on the evolving intersection of sport and esports, exploring shared opportunities, challenges and aspirations in this dynamic space.

The Forum will also be a platform for participants to contribute to the ongoing dialogue around the development of the first Olympic Esports Games.

Over 120 guests are expected to attend from across the Olympic Movement and games publishers and developers.

History was made in July last year, when the 142nd IOC Session decided to create the Olympic Esports Games. The first edition will be held in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
