27 January 2024 - Team USA’s young mogul stars shone again at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 as Elizabeth Hemley took gold in the Women’s Dual Moguls - although teammate Porter Huff had to settle for silver this time.
17-year-old Lee Yoon Seung (KOR), silver medallist in the mixed team event behind Hemley and Huff, delighted the home fans by winning the Men’s Dual Moguls gold, beating Huff 18-17 in a thrilling Big Final over the bumps of the High 1 Ski Resort.
Takuto Nakamura (JPN) won the bronze by beating Jiah Cohen, another American, in the Small Final.
Lemley, who turned 18 this week, had paired up with 15-year-old Huff to win the mixed Team Mogul Gold for Team USA on Friday. She continued her scintillating form in the Women’s Dual Moguls - beating Australia’s Lottie Lodge 22-13 in the Big Final.
There was yet more mogul success for Team USA when Abby McLarnon beat Manuela Passaretta (ITA) in the Small Final to take bronze.
