Release Date: 22 October 2019
The recent right-wing extremist shootings in Halle that killed two people on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur has stirred calls for stronger EU laws against terrorism and extremism. The fact the attacker video-streamed the shootings live underlines the need for tougher action, says the EPP Group´s Lena Düpont, a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. She also called for more help for the victims of terrorism.
