08 Dec 2021 – The eligibility of two athletes for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 was confirmed today by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) following their requests for a change of nationality.
During the second day of its remote meeting from Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland, the IOC EB approved the following changes:
- Ms Kamilla KOZUBACK – Snowboard – from Canada to Hungary
- Ms Elsa DESMOND – Luge – from Great Britain to Ireland
The IOC Executive Board granted the requested exemption to the three-year waiting period, with the prior agreement of the International Federations and National Olympic Committees concerned, in accordance with Bye-law 2 to Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.
