The manager, who joined the company in 2006, has contributed over the years to achieving several historic milestones for the brand
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 13 November 2025 – Automobili Lamborghini announces the conclusion of Umberto Tossini’s professional journey with the company, as he steps down from his role to take on new professional challenges.
Tossini began his career with the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based company in 2006, initially serving as Human Resources Director. Over the years, through various phases of corporate governance evolution, his role evolved into its current focus on People, Culture and Organisation. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed, in effective and exemplary synergy with the other members of the Board of Management, to achieving some of the company’s most significant milestones.
Among these were the localisation and launch of production for the Super SUV Urus within the Sant’Agata Bolognese facility: the result of a high value-added investment plan for the local area, developed in collaboration with local and national authorities. Another landmark initiative was the launch of the DESI (Dual Education System Italy) project, the first example of dual vocational training in Italy, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2025. More recently, he worked with the HR team on the renewal of the company’s supplementary agreement, which became a benchmark for relations with trade unions and for its innovative reorganisation of working hours.
Tossini’s leadership has been marked by a strong focus on human value and a constant commitment to creating a fair and inclusive working environment. This approach has accompanied the company’s extraordinary growth, with its workforce expanding from a few hundred employees to over 3,000. The corporate culture of Automobili Lamborghini, centred on people and the sustainable creation of long-term value, today stands as one of the company’s key success factors, thanks to its ability to harmonise individual purpose with collective meaning.
The people management practices adopted by Automobili Lamborghini under Tossini’s leadership, guided by the ambition to pair technological innovation with a vision of social progress, have earned numerous accolades. Among these, the Top Employer certification stands out, awarded to the company for twelve consecutive years with continuously improving results.
Automobili Lamborghini expresses its gratitude to Umberto Tossini for his work and his contribution to the company’s many achievements over the years, and wishes him all the best in his future personal and professional endeavours.
The role of Chief People, Culture and Organization Officer has been temporarily assigned to Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, pending the official announcement of Tossini’s successor, which will be communicated in due course.
