On Thursday, October 29, the Partnership for Healthy Cities—supported by the World Health Organization, Bloomberg Philanthropies and Vital Strategies—is hosting a virtual event to feature the voices of global health leaders and mayors on the urban response to COVID-19. The conversation will highlight how city leaders are innovating locally and collaborating globally to guide us through the pandemic toward a healthier future. The Partnership for Healthy Cities is a global network of 70 cities committed to saving lives by preventing noncommunicable diseases and injuries, and, most recently, supporting cities in their COVID-19 response. 

To mark World Cities Day 2020, WHO is releasing a portfolio of case studies, including from its global network of the Partnership of Healthy cities.
